On Tuesday, 22 July 2025, at 12:00 PM, a memorial rally and prayer gathering were organized in remembrance of the victims of the tragic plane crash at Milestone School in Uttara, Dhaka. The event took place at the campus of Pekua Girls’ High School and was hosted by Dhoritri Rokhhay Amra (DHORA).
The event was presided over by Master Abul Hashem, Headmaster of Pekua Girls’ High School and Convener of the Salt, Fisheries and Agriculture Welfare Association. Nur Piyara Begum, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of Pekua Upazila attended the event as the Chief Guest. Speakers and Guests were Md. Safwanul Karim – Founding President of Pekua Press Club and a respected journalist and education promoter, Md. Mizanul Karim – President of the Governing Body of Pekua Girls’ High School, Nur Mohammad – President of the Governing Body of Pekua High School, and Azam Uddin – Joint Convener of the Salt, Fisheries and Agriculture Welfare Association. The prayer and supplication (doa and munajat) were led by Maulana Ridwanul Haque, Arabic Lecturer of Anwarul Ulum Alim Madrasa. The event was moderated by Master Kamal Uddin Dulal, Headmaster of Pekua High School. Community people who attended the event were Governing Body member Harun-ur-Rashid, President of Rajakhali Union Welfare Association Abdul Halim, prominent social worker Nazmul Haque Chowdhury, teachers and students.
