The Buriganga River, the lifeline for Dhaka, is back in its old shape during the rainy season, as crystal-clear water replaces the pitch-black water during this period. A significant rise in the water level helps carry away effluents from various factories which find its way into the river, temporarily restoring its natural beauty and grandeur.
