On Monday, 28 April 2025, a policy dialogue titled “Role of Renewable Energy for a Pollution-Free Just Urban” was held at the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Auditorium, jointly organized by DNCC, Waterkeepers Bangladesh, CAPS, and other organizations. Ikbal Faruk, Head of Research and Implementation at Waterkeepers Bangladesh, emphasized the need to revise the Integrated Energy Power Master Plan (IEPMP) in line with the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the Bangladesh Climate Prosperity Plan (BCPP). He also called for a dedicated Renewable Energy Master Plan and a nationwide renewable energy mapping to attract investment and ensure a just energy transition.
